Tristan McIntosh, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Bioethics Research Center at Washington University School of Medicine. She applies her training in industrial-organizational psychology to conduct federally-funded and foundation-funded research on ethical and social issues that arise in scientific research and medicine. Her research interests include cultivating ethical and psychologically safe workplace cultures, leading and managing research teams for rigorous research, professional decision-making, and ensuring responsible conduct in the research, development, and commercialization of medical technologies. She also conducts research on identifying and remediating root causes of wrongdoing and noncompliance in research. Dr. McIntosh also co-directs a leadership and management training program for early-career researchers.
