Before joining Cayuse, Darlene served academia in both Ohio at Columbus State Community College and Arizona at Midwestern University’s (MWU) Glendale campus for over 12 years collectively. Most recently she served as the research administrator for MWU ethics committees including the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), as well as the Biosafety and Radiation Safety Committees. She assisted with protocol development and review in collaboration with clinicians and faculty for the Colleges of Graduate Studies, Health Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Dental, Optometry, and Pharmacy. In addition, she led implementation for the IRB and IACUC modules for MWU’s electronic research administration chosen SaaS eRA system for over 2 years. Darlene also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources from Western Governors University and is anticipating completion of her Master’s of Business Administration at Ohio University Spring 2023.
