Colleen Kohashi, MA, CIP, joined the University of California Berkeley’s Office for Protection of Human Subjects (OPHS) in 2009 and has been the lead administrator for CPHS-2, one of two full committees at UC Berkeley, since 2017. CPHS-2 reviews primarily social-behavioral research, including those of potentially greater than minimal risk, both domestic and international. Colleen, a graduate of American University (BA, International Studies) and Columbia University (MA, International Education) is a former Fulbright Grantee to South Korea.
Colleen is humbled and glad to be back presenting at PRIM&R. She previously presented in 2014 as a panelist in the “Innovations in Institutional Collaborations” session, at the 2019 SBER Conference on "Incentives and Compensation for Subjects in SBER," and in recent years on panels related to undocumented immigrants and vulnerable subjects.
