In 2019, Dr. Lukovsky joined OLAW’s Division of Assurances and additionally provides support to the Division of Compliance Oversight. Prior to joining OLAW, Dr. Lukovsky-Akhsanov completed her laboratory animal medicine residency at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and subsequently served as Assistant Director, Office of Animal Welfare, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from College of Staten Island- City University of New York, DVM from the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine and MPH in Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and is a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine.
