I am Chair of the IRB and an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Utah Tech University. I have a bachelor of arts degree in journalism/communication, a second bachelor degree as an RN-to-BSN degree (Summa Cum Laude), a master of science in nursing education, and a doctor of nursing practice degree in executive leadership in nursing education. Additionally, I have certification as a certified nurse educator. I have taught numerous courses for didactic as well as online curriculum, including pathophysiology, pharmacology, informatics, leadership, research methodology, and evidence-based practice. I am editor for the Utah Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters, as well as Chair for their Kinesiology and Health Sciences Division, as well as currently authoring a higher ed academic textbook in Evidence-Based Practice and Research Methodologies.
I reside in southern Utah with my two dogs, and spend much of my free time in packrafting, bikepacking, hiking, and oil media painting.
