John Woollard, M.Sc.; IACUC Post Approval Specialist; Mayo Clinic. John has had animals in his life for as long as he can remember. he grew up riding horses, working with cattle, has furry family members and had a passion for research and knowledge. His research interest is primarily becuase of the PBS shows Nature and Nova. He has degrees in genetics, animal science, dairy science with emphasis in animal breeding and genetics.
His 30+ year research career includes working with a variety of animal species including Drosophila, mice, rats, pigs, and beef and dairy cattle.
In his free time he loves playing video games, table top roleplaying games, card games, and board games.
His current animal family members are an english mastiff named Mason and an Italian mastiff named Phoenix.
