Linda Mayo, BA, CIP, is the Director of the HRPP at the University of New Mexico. She has been working in human research protections for 20 years. Ms. Mayo is a site visitor, team leader, and Step 1 Reviewer for the AAHRPP, Inc. and, in 2016, she co-founded the national SBER Network, a collaborative of IRB professionals that focus on the unique issues and challenges of ethical oversight of SBER, and which is hosted by PRIM&R. She has served on several PRIM&R conference planning committees and presented at national and international conferences. Ms. Mayo has also conducted NIH-funded research at the Mind Research Network focused on the ethics of returning incidental findings in neuroimaging research and has co-authored several publications on incidental findings. Ms. Mayo was the recipient of the 2020 PRIM&R ARENA Legacy Award.
