Ross Hickey is the Assistant Provost for Research Integrity at the University of Southern Maine (USM) and Director for the Maine Regulatory Training and Ethics Center (MeRTEC). He is well versed in regulations pertaining to federally funded research. Ross oversees the administration and operation of the USM Institutional Review Boards (IRB), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and is his Institution's Research Integrity Officer (RIO). He presents nationally on multiple research law topics and is a Distinguished Faculty for SRA International. He is co-chair of the Council of Certified IRB Professionals (CCIP) and a Certified Professional Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Administrators (CPIA). He teaches at the University of Maine School of Law and at USM. Ross has been a member of the Maine Bar since 2002.
