Elizabeth L. Durmowicz is a general pediatrician by training who joined the FDA in 2008. Beth has worked as a medical officer in the Division of Pediatric and Maternal Health in the Office of New Drugs in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, a medical officer and team leader in the Office of Science in the Center for Tobacco Products, and currently is the pediatric ethicist and medical officer on the Pediatric Ethics Team in the Office of Pediatric Therapeutics in the Office of the Commissioner. Beth is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed her pediatric internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Before joining FDA, Beth practiced in academic and community care settings, focusing her practice on children with special health care needs and their families.
