Stephanie Morain, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins and in the Bloomberg School of Public Health Department of Health Policy and Management. Dr. Morain uses empirical and normative methods to explore issues at the intersection of ethics, law, and policy. Her research focuses on three areas: (1) ethical and policy challenges presented by the integration of research and clinical care, including pragmatic clinical trials and learning health systems, (2) ethical and political issues concerning the scope of government authority in public health, and (3) women's health and policies affecting gender equity.
