Matthew S. McCoy, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine, and a senior fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. His research focuses on conflicts of interest in medicine and science, and the ethics of public involvement in biomedical research and health policy making. His recent work on these topics was published in the American Journal of Public Health, Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of the American Medical Association Internal Medicine, and the New England Journal of Medicine.
