Sara Meeder is the Director of the Human Research Protection Office at Maimonides Medical Center, where she is strengthening Institutional Review Board infrastructure and developing training for new researchers. Previously, she served as the Director of Research Compliance & Ethics for The HUMAN Project at New York University, helping to define the ethical and regulatory processes for big data, emerging technologies,and large cohort studies. Sara has been involved in various areas of research in her career, with an emphasis on human subjects research, research infrastructure and ethics. Interests include consent process research, AI/big data, and emerging technologies ethics, and social justice and equity in research.
