Carol Juliet Weil, JD, is an independent consultant working at the crossroads of human research participant protection, Bioethics, and science policy. She has over 20 years of experience working on the ethical, regulatory and social implications of biomedical research, with a focus on on community engagement, consent and data sharing strategies, and bio-banking. She currently chairs the Community Engagement Task Force for ISBER, the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories, is a Section Editor for the Journal "Biopreservation and Biobanking", and serves as a member of North Star Review Board, an independent, nonprofit learning Research Ethics Review Board established in 2020.
