Miranda R. Waggoner, PhD, is Associate Professor of Sociology at Florida State University, where she is also affiliated with the Center for Demography and Population Health. Her research explores the social, ethical, and cultural dimensions of biomedical knowledge production. Waggoner’s work has been supported by the Greenwall Foundation Faculty Scholars Program, and she is also the recipient of a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation.
