Dana Heller Levitt is the IRB Chair at Montclair State University. She has been with the IRB since 2011 and is in her second term as Chair. A PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia, Dr. Levitt is a Professor in the Department of Counseling where she has been the Chair since 2020. Dr. Levitt's research is primarily in the area of ethics in counseling, including ethical decision-making of counselors, values in counseling, and ethical practice and other considerations. She also writes and contributes to the counseling profession in the area of counselor development and pedagogy. She previously served on the profession's accreditaiton board and is now chairing the standards revision process for the organization.
