Our collective instruments need a tremendous amount work. These instruments may have been validated, but haven't been validated in the communities where they're in use. As such, there are questions about the value of the data. This session will explore the IRB's responsibility in attending to diversity, equity, and inclusion (the Justice principle), beyond enrollment, in instruments, study procedures, and communications. This session will take place in Zoom meeting. The use of attendee video is encouraged for participation and interaction with your peers.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore the rationale for reframing the Justice principle beyond recruitment to include diversity, equity, and inclusion in instruments and study procedures
  • Consider the implications of applying diversity, equity, and inclusion in instruments and study procedures
